August 16, 1929 - July 4, 2020
Elizabeth Lotte Schramm was born in Kulmbach Germany on August 16, 1929. She was one of seven children Margareta, George, Konrad, Michael, Heiner and Elizabeth. She came to the U.S. in 1952. She eventually met Francis MacGinn and they married in July 1955. They settled in Wantagh and created a family which include 2 dogs who she loved. She and Francis eventually welcomed Noela and Nina into their lives. She loved life as a wife, mother and friend. Her house was always filled with family and friends, laughter and fun. Mom had a unique laugh that could make anyone laugh. You could be in a room and know her by her laugh. She loved to entertain and always put family first. She was extremely dedicated to family and church. She sang in the choir at St. Barnabas Church in Bellmore and counted Father Burns among her friends. She was a strong woman, generous of spirit and faith. She is survived by her loving family daughters Noela and son - in - law Andy, Nina and son - in - law Mark. Step grand daughter Julia and her husband Jeff, step grand daughter Amber, great grand children Charles and Arielle. Nieces Trudy Elmstom, Marylou Gagnon, Paulin Schwab, Mathi Fallot, Bettyann Moraco, Ute McCaffrey and the late Christa Schramm. Over the years, they have been a very important part of Lotte's life. From the beginning when she first came to the U.S. until her last days. As their children grew and married, each one of them became important to Lotte. She always enjoyed spending time during the holidays with the family. And enjoyed their phone calls and visits. She loved and treasured all of her family in Germany (Schramm family). She was very close to Minnie Feinberg (cousin - in - law, in memory), Eleanor Hess (sister - in - law, in memory) and her nieces family Intiles, as well as the Stumpf's of Brooklyn who continue to support her with phone calls. She loved bowling and was a leader in her bowling league. She loved boating with Francis and her daughters. She created life long friends with Moeller family, Greco family, Coyne family and Hellerman family. Widowed in 1983, Lotte decided to move closer to her sister - in - law Eleanor Hess. Here she created life long friendships with everyone she met. Ann Cannotta (in memory) was among her life long friends along with the Cannotta family to this day. She will be missed dearly and her memory will be a blessing.
