Margaret (Marguerite) (nee Rosa) Genovese passed away peacefully on December 31, 2021, New Years Eve. Margaret was born in New York City on July 9, 1921 to Nicola and Maria (nee Rosa) Rosa. In addition to her parents, Margaret was preceded in death by her loving husband, Anthony, and her beloved brothers Leonard Peter Rosa and Marco Nicholas Rosa. Margaret is survived by her loving daughters Susan (nee Genovese) Conklin and Margaret Anne (nee Genovese) Clark and her husband William H. Clark and her granddaughter, Megan Elisabeth Clark. Margaret is also survived by her loving nieces, nephews and extended family members and friends who all loved her and were loved in return. Margaret brought cheer into everyone’s life with a wonderful sense of wit and wisdom. Everyone who crossed her path were touched by her love. Margaret had the pleasure of attending the Vocational High School for Women in Manhattan, New York where her already innate skills and talents were further developed and enhanced. She was an Artisan with a needle. Her work was outstanding! Her needle work career continued until World War II when she felt compelled to help in the war effort here at home where she took a job in telecommunications. Upon the birth of her first child she moved into her third career as a devoted mom and homemaker. As time went on more of her time was given to the care of her father, mother in law and great aunt who lived with her and her husband Tony. Margaret and her husband Anthony will be interred together at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Hawthorne, New York. Memorial Visitation will be held for Marguerite on Friday May 13, 2022 from 9:00 AM - 11:00 AM at Marinello Funeral Home. Memorial Mass to follow at St. Frances Cabrini Church at 11:30 AM.
